Batelco, Cisco and BTI join hands to offer networking training to Bahraini students

Batelco, Cisco and BTI (Bahrain Training Institute) have joined forces to enhance the training opportunities available for Bahraini students...

BTI is a Cisco Regional Academy and hence it is an official institute to run Cisco programmes. The new partnership with Batelco will enable BTI to help set up the Cisco Networking Academy in Batelco and support it.

The Academy at Batelco will boost the networking skills of a large number of trainees each year and provide fully qualified local talent with Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) qualifications, to support the telecom and networking industry in Bahrain.
'This is a major achievement that will benefit hundreds of trainees each year and provide Batelco and adjacent industries with a continuous supply of highly qualified staff,' said Shaikh Ahmed.

'The Cisco Network Academy Programme provides an e-learning curriculum to students worldwide on how to design, build and maintain computer networks in order to help countries develop an educated and competitive IT workforce,' said Cisco Area Academy Manager GCC/Pakistan Mu'men Suliman.
'Batelco jointly with BTI is extending a great opportunity to Bahrain's youth and I believe that with such initiatives, great positive outcomes can be made on the levels of IT skills and training in the Kingdom,' said Mr. Ghoul.

'BTI is delighted to support the training of Bahraini students to ensure they have a world class qualification that will give them the edge in the competitive job market,' stated Mr Saleh.
'We are looking forward to our continuous partnership with Batelco which dates back to mid-1990,' he added.
