Training of Trainers Leads to Better Communication

The Arab ICT Organization (IJMA3), in partnership with Mercy Corps, has organized a “Training of Trainers - ToT” session for the members of the eleven districts and twelve sub-districts in the Basrah province. The training comes as part of the “ICT Enabling Basra Sub-District Councils” project. The training was successfully held for 2 days, on October 17th and 18th,as part of the capacity building for the portal sustainability in order to develop a cadre of qualified technical support experts across the districts and sub-districts that will be available to provide localized assistance when needed. 
This session did not only provide the environment to enable the participants to be to gain new skills, but it also provided the means for the participants to communicate and exchange information. The Training of Trainers enhanced communication channels between the eleven districts and twelve sub-districts, and the portal (www.basrahcouncils.org) also permitted wider interaction between them as well.
Certificated were distributed to participants for their successful completion of the training session. The training offered the participants a new sense of optimism and motivation to fully manage the project the best possible way they can.
