Women Economic Development through Income Generation (WEDIG)

The (WEDIG) project aims to empower women to improve their economic livelihoods by participating in the local economy. The program will focus on building women’s capacity in ICT with a focus on developing business skills and knowledge, tools which will enable them to start their own entrepreneurial venture. Taking place in the Bekaa, trainees will be linked with operating micro-finance institutions (MFIs), and applications by the participating women will be submitted to these MFIs in order to provide seed money to implement their business.
