The 2nd FinanceTec to be held alongside Algeria’s leading information and communication technology events
Promising news for Algeria’s financial industry: The 2nd Financial Services and Technology Exhibition and Conference « FinanceTec 2007 » will be organised alongside Algeria’s leading information & communication technology trade fairs "Djaz.IT" and "alger telecom" at the Palais des Expositions in Algiers from 25 – 28 November 2007.
This is what fairtrade and Safex, the organisers of FinanceTec and the ICT events, recently announced. Like this, a dynamic synergy will be created, perfectly embedding the finance industry into the landmark event of the Algerian ICT business community
No doubt, Finance Tec 2007 exhibitors will profit from both the quality and the quantity of around 8,000 decision-makers, who use to attend Algeria’s landmark ICT event every autumn since 2001.
According to the organizers, the target of Finance Tec is to accompany the dynamic development of the Algerian financial industry and the reform of the banking and financial system as the major platform for business and exchange. With the new structure, they are sure to have come much closer to meet this target.
Just to recall: The first Finance Tec, which had been organized by fair-trade in co-operation with Safex at the Palais des Expositions in Algiers from 15 to 18 May 2006, had succeeded to bring together 40 leading Algerian and international banks, insurance companies and ICT vendors for the finance industry from eight countries.
Algeria’s Premier International Financial Services and Technology Exhibition and Conference had officially been inaugurated by Mr. Karim Djoudi, the Minister Delegate in Charge of the Financial Reform with the Minister of Finance, who had put this event under his auspices, together with the German Ambassador, Dr. Johannes E. A two-day Atelier des Finances, organized by Cabinet d'Ingénierie financière Strategic, had been held alongside the exhibition at the Hotel Hilton. « Financements structurés », « Financement sur le marché obligataire local » and case studies were among the topics, as well as technological presentations.
The exhibitors came from Algeria, Egypt, France, India, Kuwait, Morocco, Tunisia and USA. Among them major Algerian and international banks and insurance companies such as 2a l'Algérienne des Assurances, Alliance Assurances, CAAR - Compagnie Algérienne d'Assurance et de Réassurance, Trust Algeria Assurance, Trust Bank Algeria and Western Union.
ICT vendors for Algeria’s financial services industry included such big names as Afrique Telecom, AlBM, ATS - Algérie Télécom Satellite, B & F Soft, CBS – Xerox, CMA, Delta Informatique, Gradient Management, i-flex solutions, ITS International Turnkey Systems, Intervalle Technologies, MisrTech, Moneyline, NPC - National Processing Co., Orascom Telecom – Djezzy, OVI, Reuters, RT2I – SMS, RTI, SAB Ingénierie Informatique, Sopra Group, Thales and Viveo.
