For the fourth consecutive year, int@j participated in the Total Country Connectivity Measure (TCCM) convergence that was organized by the Arab Advisors Group and held on June 4 -5, 2007 at the Four Seasons Hotel – Amman.
The convergence was attended by 400 participants from 18 different countries representing telecom and media’s leading regional and international companies. It was held under the patronage of H.E. Eng. Bassem Al Rousan, Minister of ICT in Jordan, who spoke of the great opportunities this convergence presents to the media and telecom business.
He also highlighted the government’s commitment to providing a flexible legislative and regulatory environment that nurtures competitiveness and reflects the growing convergence in the ICT sector.
The participants discussed global trends impacting the region's telecom sector.
Arab Advisors Group founder and general manager Mr. Jawad Abbassi displayed a study of the ICT sector in the region, which ranks Arab countries by connectivity and broadband Internet penetration at the end of 2006 (Arab World and selected OECD countries).
