The Middle East has the world’s highest rate of growth for security and life-safety equipment. The Middle East imports 37% of total world security exports. Saudi Arabia accounts for 12% of global security equipment sales. The regional annual security budget is in excess of US$ 60 billion, making it the largest purchaser of security equipment in the world. ASTEX is aimed at planning and purchasing officials from public and private sector organisations responsible for all aspects of Saudi Arabia’s security including: company security, civil defence, border security, perimeter control, emergency planning, VIP protection, law enforcement, criminal investigation, the security of public buildings, utility installations, fire-fighting and public safety. |
