The event is being held at Sultan Qaboos University in Muscat with the goal of exchanging ideas and findings in a wide range of areas related to communications, computer and power engineering.
“We are delighted to sponsor this important event and to have the opportunity to showcase a range of innovative services including our 3G+ offerings,” said Abdulla Al-Rawahy, Chief Technical Advisor at Nawras. “Our 3G+ network was launched in 2007 and already provides almost 40% population coverage giving customers high speed, excellent quality and pleasingly different service.”
Demonstration of Nawras 3G+ services will include the first opportunity to see the latest Ericsson router which is scheduled to be launched in the near future, adding to the ever-growing range of access options for Nawras Broadband Internet.
3G+ Video Calling will also be on display. Conference delegates will be able to see how easy it is to use real time two-way talk with colleagues, friends or family as if face-to-face. This service is available with any video screen mobile handset for calls made and received within 3G+ coverage.
Video Monitoring is an extremely useful tool that offers home surveillance, corporate security and visual updates at any time. It is particularly beneficial for businesses being easy to operate as well as offering endless possibilities for observation.
By simply dialling the number of the SIM-card installed in the video device, live pictures are relayed back to the customer’s phone. The camera direction can be moved around using keys on the phone so that images can be surveyed from different angles.
In addition to sponsoring the ICCCP, Nawras supports and participates in many different national events throughout the year. In highlighting its role as the customer-friendly communications provider, the company showcases the latest innovations that are making it easier than ever to get closer to colleagues, friends and family.
The unwavering dedication and enthusiasm of over 600 Nawras people combine to offer customers a winning combination of global experience and local expertise. Friendly customer service for businesses and consumers has contributed to the company’s rapid growth and continuing success. Today, Nawras has a market share of 45% and was recently named best telecom brand in Oman. |
