Zain eShabab 2010 program holds its second press conference at Princess Al Jawharah Centre at the Arab gulf University

In a press conference held yesterday, the Zain eShabab 2010 Organizing Committee, announced the conclusion of its induction week, which included seminars on the IT Creativity, along with an introduction about the eGovernment Authority.
The press conference was held at the Princess AlJawhara Center at the Arab Gulf University, and was attended by: Mr. Feras Jaafar Ahmed Director of Services and Channels Enhancement at the eGovernment Authority, Mr. Hisham ALJowder Acting president Youth Affairs, GOYS, Mr. Ahmed ALHujairy CEO Gulf Future Business, Ms. Samya Hussain - Corporate Communications Manager Zain Bahrain, and Mr. Nawaf Abdulrahman - Vice President Bahrain Internet Society.
The induction week has six daily themes: Day1: Discovering Innovation, Day2: Electronic, Day3: New Digital Media, Day4: Mobility day with Zain, Day5: eGovernment, and Day6 was dedicated for presenting the competing project.
GOYS representative has emphasized the importance of Zain eShabab as part of its strategy in the development of youth in the area of innovation and driving to compete locally and internationally.
Zain Bahrain's Corporate Communications Manager, Ms. Samya Hussain, has also emphasized its role in supporting the Bahrain community and youth, and the launch of such program under the umbrella of the Zain Dream campaign is essential as one of its focuses which is supporting the youth.
Mr. Feras Jaafar Ahmed Director of Services and Channels Enhancement at the eGovernment Authority stated, "This strategic partnership is a continuation to the eGovernment Authority initiatives towards developing the citizens' capacity building in the ICT field, along with Bahrain's Vision 2030 in building knowledge society".
He added, "Technology is the today's spoken language and we as an eGovernment as part of our corporate social responsibility shell coordinate with all institutions to enhance the capacity building of the Bahraini youth especially in ICT filed, through the training, awareness and proper usage of IT".
Mr. Ahmed ALHujairy from Gulf future Business has indicated that the program of the induction was very rich this year and covered the latest trends and aspects in innovation and technology. Each day of the induction weeks is held under a specific theme.
Mr. Nawaf Abdulrahman the vice chairman of the Bahrain Internet society commented on the society role is leading such initiatives and the uniqueness of such initiative not only in Bahrain but in the Middle East and Arab region.
Microsoft the program Technology partner has also confirmed that such program ads major value for Bahrain Innovation development roadmap and puts the country on the international road for taking its first steps in harvesting innovators.
The Induction week will conclude by the end of this week, giving the team's the opportunity and time to develop the prototypes of the projects and present them to Zain eShabab grand jury in two months time.
