Under the USAID-funded IT Mentors Alliance Program (ITMA), IJMA3 was the implementing partner, along with the World Information Technology and Services Alliance (WITSA), in developing a toolkit to assist ICT associations in building robust programs to promote policies that benefit the ICT sector in their countries. The program assisted national ICT associations in developing countries throughout Africa, the Middle East, and Asia, by providing policy workshops and agenda setting initiatives and training in issues related to association organization and management. An “Advocacy Toolkit” was developed to serve as a roadmap as associations plan and refine their advocacy efforts. Under this program, IJMA3 was instrumental in particular with establishing the national ICT associations of Algeria, Afghanistan, and Yemen.
