Benhamadi highlights importance of changes made by Algeria in ICTs
TUNIS (Tunisia)- Minister of Posts and Information and Communication Technologies Moussa Benhamadi highlighted Friday changes made by Algeria, over the last decade, to reach the level of 'integrated' countries within the process of information technology and communication (ICT) development, to achieving programme of President Abdelaziz Bouteflika, in particular under the investment plan 2010-2014. On the sidelines of the International Forum on "Youth and ICT" held in the Tunisian city of Hammamet, Benhamadi told APS that the interests attached by Algeria to the spread of ICT in favour of youth has been achieved through the connection of businesses to the Internet. The objective is to reduce the digital divide and strengthen the capacity of youth in this area because this is category constitutes the basis of national strategies for sustainable development in Algeria, he said.
