New telecommunication technology centre to be built in Ariana
By late 2010, construction works of a new telecommunication technology centre in Ennahli, delegation of Kalaat Landlous (Governorate of Ariana) will be launched.
According to preliminary data, construction works will last between 3 and 5 years. Works of the first phase would end by late September 2012.
This project dubbed “Fidelity Invest” will be carried out with American investments of 80 million dollars.
“Fidelity Invest” would generate nearly 1,400 jobs for executives and specialists in information and communication technologies (ICTs).
Stretched over an area of 125 hectares, the center is fitted out by the “Agence Foncière Industrielle” (industrial land agency). It will house covered spaces of 20 square metres, spaces fitted out over 35, 000 square metres and green spaces.
The centre will contribute to boost the country’s economic development, particularly in the area of ICTs. It will be added to large-scale projects scheduled in the region, including the “Tunis Telecom City” to be achieved by a Bahraini Group in Kalaat Landlous, with investments of nearly three billion dollars.
