Viva 4G launch is imminent

Hot on the heels of 4G launches from rival cellcos Batelco and Zain, Viva Bahrain has now revealed its own plans to launch an LTE network.

Hot on the heels of 4G launches from rival cellcos Batelco and Zain, Viva Bahrain has now revealed its own plans to launch an LTE network. Viva’s chief commercial officer, Andrew Hanna, told Gulf Daily News that the cellco is in the final stages of preparing the network for its commercial launch. At launch Viva’s LTE network is expected to cover 95% of Bahrain’s population. Batelco launched its 4G network at the end of February, while Zain commenced its 4G services at the end of last week.
