Commercial Bank has renewed its exclusive partnership with Meeza, a Qatar Foundation joint venture, to provide secure, cloud-based technology solutions to the bank's enterprise and corporate customers.

Commercial Bank's technology solutions suite, powered by Meeza, help SMEs and other corporations "enhance their competencies by leveraging technology and developing skills and know-how required to create a world-class economic infrastructure."

Through the exclusive arrangement with Meeza, any of Commercial Bank's highly valued business customers can access a full portfolio of services and localised cloud applications available over the Internet, including creation and management of IT infrastructure, technology consulting, payroll, e-mail, document management and web-hosting solutions.

Following a highly successful two-years run with excellent customer feedback, the partnership was renewed by Commercial Bank CEO Abdulla Saleh al-Raisi, and Meeza chairman Rashid al-Naimi.

"Commercial Bank's partnership with Meeza provides a unique, innovative suite of technology solutions that helps put our business customers at the forefront of cultivating a diversified and sustainable Qatari economy," al-Raisi said.

"In Qatar, SMEs and entrepreneurship are widely recognised as key drivers of employment and economic growth. Our collaboration with Meeza goes a long way to help these segments succeed," he added.

"At Commercial Bank, we recognise that our business customers are working to expand their net worth and gain a competitive edge," al- Raisi said.

"We listen to their needs in order to help make that happen. The Commercial Bank-Meeza suite is a first-of-its-kind offering in the region, and remains unique notwithstanding attempts at emulation. After two years of fast-paced development, it is not only the most innovative but also the most experienced in Qatar for the provision of secure, cloud-based business solutions."

Al-Naimi said, "The continued market acceptance and adoption of our cloud service offering is a solid testament to the synergy between Commercial Bank and Meeza sharing the same mission. "

Ghada P El-Rassi, Meeza chief executive officer, said, "Meeza stays committed to adhering to the highest industry standards to provide the most secure, scalable and agile solutions that are perfectly tuned to our market's demands. Our cloud services definitely take out the large capital expenditure requirement of establishing in-house IT capabilities and serves as a catalyst for success of small and medium enterprises in Qatar by allowing them to focus on their core business."

Dean Proctor, Commercial Bank executive general manager for retail and consumer banking, said, "The Commercial Bank-Meeza partnership represents a very strong market lead. The goal has always been to provide the best possible, agile, quality-driven model of software-as-a-service to meet varying customer needs in a changing market. Our efforts have been amply validated by the excellent customer feedback, and a range of new products is to be launched shortly to help businesses in Qatar and in the region to benefit further from these value-added technology solutions for SMEs and corporates."
