The first term will accommodate 3,000 students and the remaining students for the second term. The Higher College of Technology and the other six technology colleges yesterday began outlining courses for the new academic year students, which will last for two weeks.

The technology colleges include a number of academic divisions, such as engineering, commercial studies, applied sciences, pharmaceutical and photography.

The Manpower Ministry, in association with the Health Ministry, has specified prevention measures against H1N1 to protect students. The technology colleges have extended the time for enrolment to avoid rush and specified the days according to the academic levels. Each technology college has also coordinated with the H1N1 Follow-Up and Management Committee in each region and conducted awareness lectures at all colleges for lecturers, administrative cadre and students on prevention against H1N1.

The technology colleges are offering different programmes of knowledge and skills.
