"Fibre-optic cables in Dhammar, Sanaa, Marib, al-Hodeidah and Hajjah provinces were cut, interrupting and slowing Internet and communication services in all provinces," the Public Telecommunications Corporation said in a statement.

The Corporation tasked technical teams with restoring services, the statement said.

It also urged local authorities and security agencies to protect the national communications network, arrest perpetrators and bring them to justice.
