Sayyid Hamoud Bin Faisal reviews high speed Internet at Salalah Tourism Festival The visitors of Salalah Tourism Festival rushed to the pavilion of Omantel and Oman Mobile at the Municipality Recreation Center following the visit of the guest of honor His Excellency Sayyid Hamoud bin Faisal Al Busaidi, Minister of Environment and Climate Affairs and in the presence of His Excellency the Minister of State and Governor of Dhofar and a number of ministers, undersecretaries and senior officials of both companies upon the inauguration ceremony of the festival last night. His Excellency and the audience reviewed the telecommunications services offered by Omantel and Oman Mobile in the pavilion which consists of several sections for telecom services including fixed line, ADSL, mobile communications,3.5G services provided by Oman Mobile, as well as the services offered to corporate clients. A briefing on the modern services and unique packages of the 3.5G were presented to His Excellency. Omantel and Oman Mobile also unveiled several new promotions during the summer season and Salalah Tourism Festival. A demonstration of the wireless internet service, better known as WiFi, offered by Omantel and Oman Mobile was given to His Excellency. Both companies have allocated a special corner facing the pavilion in the Municipality Recreation Center to enable visitors to use the service, which has received great demand from customers. His Excellency toured the pavilions of the participating institutions including Omantel/Brownies. Omantel has provided several computers with hi-speed internet connections to enable café visitors to test its services and surf their favorite websites, while drinking coffee and other beverages and enjoying the events of Salalah Tourism Festival. His Excellency praised the role played by Omantel and Oman Mobile in support of the digital society and e-government project which are in line with the future vision of the Sultanat and their efforts in the provision of the most up to date quality telecom services in the Sultanate. The pavilion of Omantel and Oman Mobile attracted large numbers of the festival’s visitors and the customers of both companies. They sought to benefit from telecom services and review new promotions that cover mobile telecom services, Hayyak 2x2, and various 3.5G offers. Furthermore, the “Pay and Win” offer attracted large numbers of Salalah Tourism Festival visitors and Omantel and Oman Mobile’s customers who rushed to pay their bills to join the successive draws. The offer enables subscribers to enter the draw for the remaining four Toyota Sequoia vehicles, or free one-year subscription in fixed line, mobile communications and internet services. Omantel and Oman Mobile participate in this year’s Salalah Tourism Festival as Main Diamond Sponsors in a new and innovative style in order to continue positive interaction with their customers in all sites of the festival and to satisfy the needs and requirements of visitors.
